ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Our bush hideaway in Kenya welcomes you to a different world, a world centred at the heart of the African Wilderness that is the Masai Mara. A world of majestic animals, dazzling birds, sweeping grasslands, flat-topped trees and breathtaking sunsets. Unfenced and secluded in a thicket of Euclea and African Olives, the camp impinges so little on the natural inhabitants of this prolific reserve that animals wander through the grounds at any time unperturbed. Stayingin a bush camp doesn't mean compromising on comfort, the food and service are first class, as are the warmth and experience of Kicheche's staff. The reserve is one of the very few areas left in Africa where wildlife can be seen in the large numbers that existed a hundred years ago. Between July and October the plains darken with wildebeest and zebra, unending columns from the adjoining Serengeti passing through on their hazardous annual journey in search of fresh pastures, unaware that they themselves are prime targets for the relentless native predators - lions, leopards and cheetahs. But there is more to the Mara than its prolific wildlife - towering escarpments, acacia-dotted grasslands, blazing sunsets and towering rain clouds provide photo opportunities at every turn.
